Welcome to the DN App (“DN”). This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Deep Nutrition LLC and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“DN App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, share, and protect personal information through our websites, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy applies when you interact with our Services via www.dn-app.com, our mobile applications, social media platforms, and our communication channels, and is subject to our Terms of Use.
By using or accessing the Services, including your use of the Freemium level (Freemium and Macro + Calorie Analysis), the Premium plan (including urine-color hydration logging, fasting tracking, food logs showing real-time macro analysis, food scanning, caffeine tracking, Micronutrient breakdown, weekly nutrition scores, monthly Smart Reports, personalized recommendations, and family leaderboards and Top Nutrition Badges), or the Professional plan (including Multi organ-specific scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, Carbs and fats breakdown, and Organ-specific recommendations), you acknowledge that your personal and health data are processed in accordance with this Policy and applicable regulations, and that this Policy forms an integral part of the legal and contractual framework governing your use of the Service.
Compliance with SDAIA and Local Data Regulations
Where applicable, the DN App collects, processes, stores, and transfers personal data in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the requirements and guidelines issued by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and any applicable Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). DN App will: (a) limit the collection of personal data to what is necessary to provide and improve the Service and its features (including analytics, reports, and recommendations such as monthly Smart Reports, weekly nutrition scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, personalized recommendations, and Organ-specific recommendations); (b) implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data; (c) respect applicable user rights such as access, rectification, deletion, and objection, in accordance with SDAIA and PDPL requirements; and (d) obtain required consents, especially when it comes to sensitive or health-related data (including data used in the Freemium, Premium, and Professional features). Additional details are provided in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Information We Collect
DN App collects the following types of personal data:
- Identifiers: name, email, Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identifier, username.
- Health and physical data: height, weight, body measurements, dietary habits (including entries in Freemium and Macro + Calorie Analysis), exercise, biometric data, fasting data, hydration data (including urine-color hydration logging), caffeine intake data, and any data used to calculate weekly nutrition scores and Multi organ-specific scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, Carbs and fats breakdown, personalized recommendations, and Organ-specific recommendations.
- Technical data: browser type, operating system, device firmware, geolocation, crash logs, and cookies.
- Commercial data: transaction history, preferences, and inquiries, including your choices among Freemium, Premium, and Professional.
- Social media details: where authorized, data from linked accounts such as Facebook.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used (such as food scanning, real-time food logs, family leaderboards, Top Nutrition Badges, and monthly Smart Reports), preferences, and interactions.
We collect this information directly from you, through analytics tools, integrations with third parties (such as Apple Health and Google Health Connect), and cookies or similar technologies.
Leaderboard and Top Nutrition Badges Data
As part of your use of family leaderboards and the “Top Nutrition Badges” feature, we may collect and process data related to your ranking and nutrition scores, including but not limited to: overall nutrition score, Multi organ-specific scores, weekly nutrition scores, and any other scores used by the app to identify the top (up to) five (5) participants in each category under the different plans (such as Premium and Professional). We also process your name or username, or the initials of your full name (where you choose this or where the app generates them automatically for privacy purposes), as well as your profile picture (if you optionally add one). This data is used to enable the display of rankings and badges within the app, motivate users, and enhance the interactive experience.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
Operate and improve our Services and their content, including improving the accuracy of Macro + Calorie Analysis, Micronutrient breakdown, Carbs and fats breakdown, weekly nutrition scores, Multi organ-specific scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, monthly Smart Reports, personalized recommendations, and Organ-specific recommendations.
Personalize your experience and improve recommendations, including recommendations provided under the Premium and Professional plans.
Respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
Analyze engagement and usage trends, including how Freemium, Premium, and Professional features are used, real-time food logs, and family leaderboards and Top Nutrition Badges.
Communicate with you about updates, services, or promotional offers, including plan upgrades (from Freemium to Premium or Professional).
Provide access to features such as recipe suggestions, health tracking, AI-based analysis, food scanning features, caffeine tracking, micronutrient analysis, weekly nutrition scores, monthly Smart Reports, personalized recommendations, and Organ-specific recommendations.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and protect legal rights.
Use anonymized or aggregated data for analytics, training machine learning models, and improving the Service, including improving the accuracy of nutrient calculations, weekly nutrition scores, Multi organ-specific scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, and enhancing the Freemium, Premium, and Professional experience.
Use of Ranking and Badge Data in Marketing and Social Media
Subject to an appropriate legal basis and/or your consent where required, DN App may use your ranking and results from family leaderboards and the “Top Nutrition Badges” feature, including your displayed name (or initials if you choose that), your profile picture (if any), and your nutrition scores (such as overall nutrition score, Multi organ-specific scores, and weekly nutrition scores), in marketing and promotional materials for the app via various channels such as the website, social media accounts, and advertising materials, in accordance with this Policy and applicable regulations (including SDAIA and PDPL requirements or any other relevant data protection laws). Where explicit or additional consent is required, DN App will obtain such consent in advance and provide an option to withdraw it to the extent such withdrawal does not conflict with legal or contractual requirements, and without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
Privacy and Data Use
Your privacy is important to us. By using DN App, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. Partner users are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents from their clients before entering or sharing their data within DN App, including data used in Professional plan features.
We process and store personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. DN App may share anonymized or aggregated data for research, development, or commercial use, including improving Freemium, Premium, and Professional features. Personal data will not be sold or disclosed without a legal basis or user consent. Where SDAIA, PDPL, HIPAA, GDPR, or other local or international regulations apply, DN App will restrict cross-border data transfers, apply data localization requirements where mandated, and respect applicable rights relating to your personal and health data.
Health and nutrition information that you record (including macro/micro data, Macro + Calorie Analysis, micronutrient analysis, hydration including urine color, fasting, caffeine intake, weekly nutrition scores, organ scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, monthly Smart Reports, personalized recommendations, and Organ-specific recommendations) is treated as sensitive information and handled with heightened safeguards in accordance with applicable law.
Sharing Your Information
DN App does not sell your personal information. We may share your data:
- With service providers for hosting, analytics (such as Google Analytics), email, payments (such as Stripe), and customer support, in order to support the operation of Freemium, Premium, and Professional features.
- With ad networks (such as Facebook Ads, Google AdSense, AdWords, and others) for retargeting and personalization, including promoting upgrades to Premium or Professional.
- With third-party integrations you authorize (such as Apple Health and Health Connect), including sharing macro/micro tracking data, hydration, fasting, caffeine, and nutrition scores.
- In legal circumstances or in connection with business transfers.
- As anonymized or de-identified data for research, development, or other legitimate business purposes, including improving the accuracy of nutrient calculations, weekly nutrition scores, Multi organ-specific scores, and deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends.
All third-party vendors are contractually required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your data.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
DN App uses first-party and third-party cookies and similar technologies for core functionality, user preferences, analytics, and targeted advertising. You can manage cookie preferences in the app settings or your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features, including some elements of Freemium, Premium, and Professional.
Examples include:
- Necessary cookies: for logins and session security.
- Preference cookies: to remember your settings, including your plan preferences.
- Analytics cookies: to track usage and improve performance, including understanding how food scanning, real-time food logs, family leaderboards and Top Nutrition Badges, and monthly Smart Reports are used.

Data Security and Storage
We store your personal data on secure servers located in the United States. DN App applies physical, administrative, and technical safeguards consistent with industry standards, including encryption, two-factor authentication, and regular security assessments, to protect data used across Freemium, Premium, and Professional features.
However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your account credentials and access to your device.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Services (including Freemium, Premium, and Professional features).
- Fulfill legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations.
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
You may delete your account data via settings or by contacting us. Aggregated or anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.
The retention and deletion of your personal data, including related nutrition and health records (such as macro/micro data, hydration, fasting, caffeine, weekly nutrition scores, organ scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, and monthly Smart Reports), will be managed in line with our Privacy Policy and any applicable legal requirements, including, where relevant, requirements issued or supervised by SDAIA and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) or other local data protection authorities. In some cases, we may anonymize your data so that it can no longer be linked to you; in that case, we may use such anonymized data for research, analytics, or product improvement, including improving the accuracy of nutrient calculations, weekly nutrition scores, Multi organ-specific scores, and deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- To access the personal data we hold about you, including data used in Freemium, Premium, and Professional features.
- To correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- To delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- To object to data processing in cases permitted by law, without this including the withdrawal of essential consents that were provided as a legal basis for processing, and without affecting the continuation of processing that is necessary to provide the Services or comply with legal or contractual obligations.
- To request data portability.
- To restrict or limit automated decision-making (where applicable).

By using DN App, you acknowledge and agree that your data may be transferred to the United States of America, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) of Saudi Arabia
To comply with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, DN App provides this additional notice outlining your rights and our obligations regarding your personal health information:
Your Choices Regarding Display of Name and Image in Rankings and Badges
You have the right, to the extent permitted by law, to request modification of how your identity is displayed in family leaderboards and the “Top Nutrition Badges” feature (such as choosing to display initials instead of your full name, or removing your profile picture) and/or to object to the use of this data for certain marketing purposes, by contacting us at support@dn-app.com. Note that some restriction requests may not be possible if they conflict with legal or contractual obligations binding on DN App or are necessary for continued provision of the Service.
Types of Health Data Collected
DN App collects the following health-related data:
- Food intake and dietary habits (including entries in Freemium and Macro + Calorie Analysis, food logs showing real-time macro analysis, and food scanning data).
- Weight, height, and body composition.
- Levels of physical activity.
- Biometric data (such as physical exertion and smoking).
- Hydration data (including urine-color hydration logging).
- Fasting data.
- Caffeine intake data.
- Any data used to calculate weekly nutrition scores, Multi organ-specific scores, deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends, Carbs and fats breakdown, personalized recommendations, and Organ-specific recommendations.
Purpose of Data Collection
Your health data is collected in order to:
- Track and improve your nutrition journey, including across Freemium, Premium, and Professional levels.
- Provide personalized health insights and nutrition recommendations (including personalized recommendations and Organ-specific recommendations).
- Enable customized analysis based on your health profile, including Macro + Calorie Analysis, micronutrient analysis, Carbs and fats breakdown, weekly nutrition scores, organ scores, and deficiency alerts + excess alerts + dietary trends.
- Support scientific research and product improvement (in anonymized form), including improving the accuracy of nutrient calculations, weekly nutrition scores, and organ scores.
Data Storage and Security Measures
Data is stored securely using encryption protocols, both in transit and at rest.
Access is limited to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.
All security controls comply with global standards and PDPL requirements.
User Rights Under PDPL
As a user in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, you have the following rights under PDPL:
- To access your personal data at any time.
- To correct any inaccurate information in your data.
- To request deletion of your data from our systems, to the extent permitted by law.
- To object to the processing of your personal data in cases allowed by PDPL, without this enabling withdrawal of core consents relied upon as a legal basis for processing, and without causing material harm to the nature of DN App’s business or breaching any legal or contractual obligation.
- To restrict processing of your personal data in cases provided for by law.
Requests must be submitted via email: support@dn-app.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days, taking into account whether some requests conflict with mandatory requirements of the Personal Data Protection Law or other applicable regulations.
Data Hosting and Transfers
Your data may be stored and processed outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (such as in the United States and other locations).
We are actively working to ensure that future versions of DN App include an option for local hosting within the Kingdom, better aligning with PDPL compliance requirements and data sovereignty preferences.
Explicit Consent
Before collecting your health data, DN App will obtain your explicit consent.
This consent will clearly explain which data is collected, why it is collected, and how it is used, including its use in Freemium, Premium, and Professional features.
Once you provide this explicit consent, it constitutes a legal basis for processing your health data under PDPL. Any subsequent request to revoke this consent will not result in immediate or automatic termination of processing required by law, existing contracts, or continued service provision. Instead, such requests will, where possible and lawful, be addressed through alternative solutions and arrangements that do not cause material harm to the nature of DN App’s business or its legal obligations.
By using DN App and providing consent where required, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described above. Your trust and privacy are of paramount importance to us.
Do Not Track and Opt-Out Choices
DN App currently does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers. However, you can manage ad personalization and tracking through third-party opt-out tools and your browser settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on our website and, where appropriate, we will notify you directly (for example, via in-app notification for Freemium, Premium, and Professional users). Your continued use of the Services after updates signifies your acknowledgment that the updated Policy continues to apply to the extent permitted by law, and does not constitute a free choice to accept or reject legal obligations associated with use of the Service.
